SOLUDO SHOCKED OVER DEATH OF ANOTHER LAWMAKER

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has expressed shock over the sudden demise of the member representing Awka South One Constituency in state House of Assembly.

The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, described as shocking that the State Assembly lost another lawmaker to the cold hands of death, coming barely three months after the demise of the lawmaker representing Aguata Two Constituency, Mr. Okechukwu Okoye.

The statement notes the Governor described the lawmaker Doctor Nnamdi Okafor as an active participant at the 7th Assembly who devoted his time and energy to represent his constituency.

Governor Soludo on behalf of Anambra State Government conveyed his sympathy to those he left behind, including his family, Awka Constituency One and Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

While saying that life is ephemeral the governor prayed that the living continue to reflect on the essence of life and live for the good of the society.

The statement notes that Doctor Nnamdi Okafor also doubles as the Majority Leader of of the seventh House of Assembly.

The late Doctor Okafor reportedly slumped at Sandton City Johannesburg, South Africa where he was attending a statutory training session of members of Anambra State House of Assembly.
