PURITY FM NUJ TAKES ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR CAMPAIGN TO SCHOOL
Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Purity FM Chapel, have admonished students to shun cultism and other social vices that ruin their lives.
They gave the charge at Community Secondary School Mgbakwu, Awka North Local Government Area while admonishing the students to take their studies seriously and be of good conduct in and out of the school.
Members of the union embarked on the visit as part of their corporate social responsibility to the host community.
One of the NUJ members, Mr. Alfred Ajayi, discouraged the students from embracing cultism, examination malpractice and drug abuse due to their far reaching detrimental effects.
He advised them to keep their dreams alive by protecting their future against anything that could derail them.
Another member, Mrs. Chika Esonwunne, while describing the world as a battle field, called on the students to fan their potential to flame, despite the daunting challenges they face.
She charged them to remain focused and to keep believing in themselves.
Also, the Head of News, Purity FM, Mr. Chris Obileri, who led the team, emphasized the need for the students to be serious with moral instructions and make sure they didn’t miss classes.
The School Principal, Mrs. Ngozi Ogba, who was happy with the visit and the impacts it would have on the children, frowned at the rate of indiscipline in the school.
She prayed that the visit would bring a positive change in the lives of the students.
The Senior Prefect of the school, Chukwuife Simon Udefuna and the Deputy Senior Prefect, Maxwell Uchechi thanked the NUJ members for their visit, with a promise that they would abstain from cultism and other vices and to be focused in their studies in line with their admonition.
The event featured questions and answer session.
