Comrade Ofuaroh bemoaned the working condition of lecturers in public universities in the country, while urging the Federal Government to revitalize the system through appropriate funding to enhance infrastructure development.
He said the action was a one month rolling strke and would be called off as soon as the government met its demands.
Comrade Ofuaroh urged students and stakeholders to bear with the union as its struggle was in the interest of the citizens.
A former Chairman of ASUU in the university, Professor Dennis Aribodor, explained that the teachers were unhappy with the failure of the Federal Government to implement the last Memorandum of Understanding signed with the body in the last one year.
