JUSTICE VICTOR OKORIE EMERGES ACTING PRESIDENT IMO STATE CUSTOMARY COURT OF APPEAL

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State says his administration will continue to uphold the doctrine of separation of power to guarantee the independence of every arm of government.

He gave the assurance in Owerri while inaugurating the Acting President, Customary Court of Appeal Imo State, Justice Victor Okorie. 

He reminded Judges of the sensitive nature of their positions and urged them to always discharge their duties dispassionately. 

Governor Uzodimma urged the new Customary Court of Appeal President to live above board, noting that he would continue to support the judiciary to facilitate quick dispensation of Justice.

In a reaction, Justice Victor Okorie expressed gratitude to the Governor for the elevation and promised to uphold the dictates of his oath of office.

The inauguration followed the retirement of the former President of the Court, Justice Mathew Njoku.
