POLICE DIMISS CORPORAL IN ABIA STATE

A police corporal, Obagi Njok, who shot and killed one Mr. Emmanuel Okocha on the 17th of April this year on the Aba-Owerri Road in Abia State, has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force.
The spokesperson of Abia State Police Command, Mrs. Maureen Chinaka, who made this known in a statement, explained that the dismissal followed the conclusion of disciplinary actions during which he was found guilty of misuse of firearm.
The statement said the matter had already been handed over to the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abia State for prosecution in court.
She reiterated the determination of the Command in upholding professionalism and the rule of law and condemnation of any act of misconduct, unprofessionalism and indiscipline among its officers.
