IPMAN THREATENS TO WITHDRAW SERVICES IN ANAMBRA
REPORTER: UCHE NDEKE
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN) has issued a one month notice to the Anambra State Government to pay debt owed it members or they will withdraw their services in the state.
In an interview shortly after a meeting held in Awka, the Anambra State capital, the Chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot, Mr. Chinedu Anyaso, expressed unhappiness that the Anambra State Government had clearly refused to pay debt incurred as a result of supply of diesel and other services rendered to the government.
According to the IPMAN Chairman, despite several letters that had been written after their Annual General Meeting on 24th of August 2023, the state government has refused to pay.
He claimed that some of IPMAN members were facing difficulties as a result of the non payment of the debt, which had resulted in banks taking over their businesses while some are seriously bed ridden.
