BE CAUTIOUS OF OVERSEAS TRIP — DEVELOPMENT CAMPAIGNER WARNS

Residents of Ebonyi State and other Nigerians who want to travel abroad over the increasing economic hardship in the country have been advised to carry out proper consultation.

This is to help them verify properly where they are heading for and what they would actually do thereafter to avoid being victims of human trafficking.

A human development campaigner, Mr. Emmanuel Eze, gave the advice while interacting with Unity FM on dangers associated with overseas travel without good arrangement.

According to Mr. Eze, those who embark on such overseas trip out of desperation for wealth most atimes become victims of inhuman treatment, slavery and sex exploitation.

Mr. Eze, also called on the Ebonyi State Government and others to introduce an intervention policy that would address the economic crunch bedeviling the country.

He particularly advised the government to come up with a workable human empowerment system that would liberate the citizenry from the hardship.
