WIFE OF ABIA GOV HOSTS CHILDREN TO CHRISTMAS PARTY, TASKS PARENTS ON CHARACTER MOULDING

The Wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, has reaffirmed her commitment to prioritizing the welfare of children, especially the less privileged in the state.
Mrs. Otti, who made the assertion while hosting a Christmas party for Abia children at the Government House, Umuahia emphasized the need for children to be guided and nurtured in a manner that aligned with positive values for a better society.
She enjoined the children to cherish the guidance provided by their parents, teachers, and mentors, noting that they should embrace the values that would not only shape their individual character but also contribute to the collective strength of their communities.
While emphasizing that parenting could be challenging, Mrs Otti advised parents to be committed in training their children and reminded them that the lessons they imparted would have a lasting impact on the character and future of each child.
Mrs. Otti described the day as a special day and thanked God for His faithfulness towards the people, noting that children were a great blessing to the society.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Blessing Felix commended Mrs. Otti for hosting the children to a mega party, irrespective of background, and said it was an opportunity for the children to enjoy themselves.
The event, which attracted top government officials, featured goodwill message from the wife of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mrs. Uchechi Emeruwa, dancing and presentation of Christmas gifts to parents and children while the children were thrilled with song Christmas renditions by choirs.
