BE IMPACTFUL IN YOUR PLACES OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT — IMO STATE CO-ORDINATOR TELLS CORPS MEMBERS

REPORTER: CHINAZO ILECHUKWU

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Imo State have been charged to undertake community development service projects that will impact positively on the lives of their host communities.

The State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, gave the charge at the end of orientation course for 2023 Batch C Stream II corps members at Eziama Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.

She described youths as catalysts of national development and urged them to strive towards leaving legacies at their places of assignment.

Mrs. Idaewor noted that the corps members had been equipped through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme of the NYSC to make them self reliant and advised them to take advantage of the lessons learnt to better their lot.

The State Coordinator also appealed to the corps members to be diligent, disciplined and committed in carrying out the national assignment.

Mrs. Idaewor commended all the partners of the scheme in ensuring a successful orientation course but cautioned the corps members against taking unnecessary risks that might jeopardize their safety.
