Meanwhile collation of results is in progress at the INEC headquarters, Owerri where the winner will be declared by the INEC returning officer in the state.

A resident of Owerri, Dr. John Uzoegbu, pointed out that there were a lot of distraction in the state and called on whoever that would emerge victorious to work to unite every part of the state

Another resident public servant, Mr. Anthony Obioma, also stressed that the new Governor should make peace a priority to enable development to flourish.

“Everybody’s expectation as Imolite is that the new person coming in should not play with peace. Any place that there is no peace, no development in the whole world. Go to Gaza and you can see what is going on in Russia Ukraine. Let the New person do what ever it takes to make peace thrive in Imo state,”he said.

A resident of Orlu, Mr. Chukwuka Nzeogu, appealed to the incoming Chief security officer of the state to bring more infrastructural development in the state.

For his part, a clergyman, Pastor Success Ilozie, appealed to the new Governor to work assiduously for the transformation of the state.

“I’m expecting the person to bring international company in Imo State. I’m expecting him to put all the round about in Imo State and other places we use to have a lot of traffic there something like flyover to Douglas by warehouse.

“When the government know what is right to do, let them do it. I don’t expect much but what ever they said they should do let them do accordingly,” he suggested.
