POLICE INVESTIGATE MURDER OF 70 YEAR OLD MAN ABIA

The Police Command in Abia State has confirmed the gruesome murder of one Mr. Zachary Nmaduka on September 13 in Amelechi Akpukpa Community, Uturu.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the command, Mr. Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the development in a statement.

Mr. Chinaka, in the statement, said Mr. Nmaduka, 70-year-old native of Ezieke Akpukpa Uturu, was violently attacked, shot, and beheaded by unidentified assailants while he was at a drinking joint in the Community.

Thhe noted that when the information got to the DPO of Uturu Division, a joint team, comprising police and army personnel, was swiftly dispatched to the scene where they recovered the lifeless body of the victim, captured photographic evidence and deposited his remains at a mortuary.

The statement added that investigation into the tragic incident had already commenced.
