EID EL MAULUD: POLICE ASSURE OF SECURITY IN ABIA

The Police Command in Abia State says it has taken all necessary step to ensure peaceful celebration of Eid El Maulud across the state.
In a statement the Command’s spokesman, Mr. Maureen Chinaka, said the celebration marking the birth of Prophet Muhammed was very significant and joyous occasion.
It noted that officers of the Command were diligently working to guarantee the safety of all before, during and after the celebration through increased presence in key areas.
It further said that the command would be closely monitoring public gatherings and events to maintain peace and order.
The statement enjoined all Muslim faithful and other members of the public to be security conscious and not hesitate to report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station.
