POLICE KILL TWO HOODLUMS, ARREST TWO OTHERS IN EBONYI

Police in Ebonyi State have shot dead two suspected hoodlums alleged to be enforcing illegal sit at home order in Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Onome Onovwakpoyeya, explained that the hoodlums shot sporadically in Okposi when security operatives engaged them in a gun battle.
It noted that one of them was shot dead during the faceoff while another, who escaped with bullet wounds, was later found dead in the bush.
According to the statement, two other suspects who participated in the operation whose names were given as Emmanuel Edwin and Chigozie Ude were also arrested with bullet wounds.
Items said to have been recovered from them included one blue highlander jeep riddled with bullets, one pump action gun, five live cartridges, four handsets (phones) and one generator.
Others were charms, assorted items robbed from provision shops, one red and one black face mask, ten expended pump action gun cartridges and nine expended shell of AK 47 rifle ammunition.
