ELECTION HOLIDAY: EBONYI STATE GOVT POSTPONES SCH RESUMPTION

Ebonyi State Government has issued a new date for the resumption of all categories of schools in the state.

The state government had earlier directed schools to resume on the 13th of this month but a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Sunday Nwangele, explained that the resumption date had been shifted to Monday, 20th March, 2023 after the Governorship Election.

It noted that the decision was taken after security reports made available to Governor David Umahi suggesting improved and proactive safety of schools and school children after the new date.

It directed all public and private schools as well as mission schools to strictly comply with the new directive as any defaulting school shall be sanctioned.

The statement aslo directed security agencies to effect total compliance to the directive by all concerned school operators.
