ARMED MEN KILL 4 IN ANAMBRA COMMUNITY

The Police Command in Anambra State says, police and military operations have been intensified in Ihiala and its neighboring towns as operatives responded to a distress call in the early hours of Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Nzomiwu Street, Eziani, Ihiala.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, said the operatives recovered yet to be identified lifeless bodies –three males and one female–at the scene.

The statement explained that preliminary information revealed that the criminal elements armed with Ak47, started shooting indiscriminately and unprovoked, which resulted in bullets hitting four unarmed people.

It added that the corpses of the victims had been deposited in the morgue in the area.
