SECURITY: IMO STATE GOVT SIGNS MOU WITH NAVY TO DREDGE OGUTA LAKE

Imo State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the the Nigeria Navy for the dredging and technical services at the Oguta Orashi Lake.
The state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, says the tripartite agreement will open up the axis and enhance National development.
Senator Uzodimma notes that when the programme is fully done it will curb criminality in the area.
Earlier, the leadership of Nigerian Navy led by Rear Admiral Sirillanda Lassa, says the major purpose is to harness the natural endowment, make the lake accessible and provide security in the water ways.
Rear Admiral Lassa explained that work had already started from the dredging of Lokoja to Burutu axis, noting that in no distant time it will get to Oguta Orashi river.
