MENTOR CORPS MEMBERS DEPLOYED TO YOUR ORGANISATIONS — NYSC DG BEGS EMPLOYERS

REPORTER:  CHINAZO ILECHUKWU

The 2022 “Batch C Stream 2” National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Imo State have been challenged to embark on Community Development Service projects that will add more value to the living condition of their host communities.

The Acting Director General of the corps, Mrs. Christy Uba, gave the charge in a message to the end of orientation course for the batch held at Eziama- Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.

The Acting Director-General whose address was read by the State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs. Rachel Idaewor, urged the youth corps members to be law abiding and show more commitment to duty, noting that NYSC did not confer them immunity against prosecution from wrong doings.

She also charged corps members to build on the skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development programmes that they were exposed to during the orientation by availing themselves of further opportunities for post-camp training, noting that the measure would strengthen them to be self-reliant.

The Acting NYSC DG appealed to corps employers to mentor those deployed to their establishments for primary assignments to enable them to realise their potentialities.
