JUBILATION AS ENUGU COMMUNITY BEGINS TO ENJOY ELECTRICITY

The people of Odumodu Chimeuka in Enyimba Amoli Autonomous community, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State have pledged to sustain the peace and harmony being experienced in the area.

They made the pledge during the inauguration of electricity transformer acquired by Odumodu Chimeuka community for the restoration of electricity in the community after years of blackout.

The transformer which was inaugurated after installation by a local power company in co-ordination with the power distribution company in the south-east zone, threw the people of the community into celebration.

Speaking on this happy and landmark development, a stakeholder in the cimmunity, Comrade Sunday Onyebuchi, thanked God for making the project a reality and called for sustained unity among the people.

Two other natives of the community, while expressing joy that the community was able to realize its dream, called on the Enugu State Government to make its presence felt by the people by constructing accessible roads and boreholes in the community for ease  of living.

The call for more government presence in the community was equally shared by another prominent son of the comnunity, Chief Kenechukwu Chijioke, who thanked God for making the project a reality.

The clergymen were not left out in the celebration, as they prayed that peace would continue to reign in the community and that more development projects would be sited in the area.
