INEC DEPLOYS NEW RECS TO ANAMBRA & ABIA STATES

A new Resident Electoral Commissioner has been appointed for Anambra State.

She is Dr. Queen Elizabeth Agwu.

In a statement, the Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, Mr. George Edeani, said Dr. Agwu had already assumed duties at the INEC Headquarters, Awka.

The statement explained that the new REC was received on arrival by the Administrative Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Jude Okwuonu and other management staff.

Similarly, Professor Uzochukwu Chijioke Ike has assumed duty as the new Resident Electoral Commissioner in Abia State.

Professor Ike is among the 19 Resident Electoral Commissioners, who were recently sworn in by the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.

In a statement made available by the Head, Voter Education and Publicity, INEC in Abia State, Mrs. Rebecca Jim, the new REC was received on arrival by the Administrative Secretary, Mr. Charles Ezema, Heads of Departments, Electoral Officers and other members of staff.
