POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECTED SERIAL RAPIST IN EBONYI

Police in Ebonyi State have arrested a suspected serial rapist identified as Miracle Onwe for allegedly raping a 19 year old girl at Aboffia village in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state.
Parading the suspect at Eke Aba Police Division Abakaliki, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Chris Anyanwu, explained that the victim was in her farm when Miracle allegedly pounced on her after which he robbed her of her smartphone.
The PPRO noted that immediately the girl raised alarm to draw the attention of passers by, the suspect jumped into a nearby river with the phone.
Mr. Anyanwu noted that the river was cordoned off after which the suspect was fished out.
He said that the suspect would be arraigned in court.
