SALLAH: FRSC DEPLOYS 250 REGULAR & SPECIAL MARSHALS IN IMO

The Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Imo State sector command says it has deployed over two hundred and fifty regular and special marshals to ensure free flow of traffic and remove carnages on the roads through out the Eid holidays.

The acting State Sector Commander of the corps, Mr. Anthony Amandugba, made this known during an interview with Radio Nigeria in Owerri.

Mr. Amandugba said the command was engaging in media sensitisation, motor parks rallies and advocacy visits to churches and mosques to sensitize the people to the need to adhere to road traffic rules.

He noted that the command was also engaging in a YOUTH Safety Education (YSE), a free vehicular safety check policy adopted by the corps to sensitize motorists to the need to make their vehicles road worthy.

According to the acting state commander, the command has also deployed tow trucks to remove obstructions from the road and would equiped stand by ambulance for prompt rescue of accident victims.

Mr. Amandugba therefore called on road users to obey all traffic rules and regulations, especially the use of good wipers this rainy season to avoid road traffic crash.
