2023 CENSUS: SOLUDO PLEDGES TO SUPPORT NPC

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has assured the National Population Commission of adequate technical assistance and needed public awareness across the state during the proposed 2023 general housing and population census.
Governor Soludo gave the assurance when he received the leadership of the National Population Commission at Government House, Awka.
Governor Soludo observed that the commencememt of the Trial Census was aimed at testing all aspects of census operations, from planning to implementation, with the selection of Idemili South Local Government Area for Anambra State.
In his address, the Chairman, National Population Commission (NPC), Mr. Nasir Kwarra, noted that the Commission was in the state to supervise the ongoing sample exercise of the commission’s trial census for the preparation of next year’s digital housing and population census.
Mr. Kwarra reaffirmed the Commission’s resolve to ensure that the results of the census from Anambra were acceptable by the people of the state and quality of data to be generated met the international best standards for planning purpose.
