CHILDREN OF LATE GOSPEL SINGER, OSINACHI, RECEIVE #2 MILLION GIFT FROM ENUGU STATE GOVT

The Enugu State Government has made two million naira cash donation to the family of a late popular gospel artist, Mrs. Osinachi Nwachukwu, who allegedly died of domestic violence and abuse by her husband.
The children who for now have no parent following the death of their mother, Mrs Osinachi Nwachukwu and arrest of their father, are now with their grand mother.
Presenting the cash gift to their grandmother, who recieved on behalf of the family, Enugu State Commissioner for Gender Affairs and Social Development, Princess Peace Nnaji, stated that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on hearing the incidence directed the ministry of to take necessary action to support the family.
According to Princess Nnaji, the cash donation is for the upkeep of late Osinachi’s four children whose father is currently under police detention.
“Though you people are not indigens of Enugu state but our governor, in his compassionate and magnanimity measure, decided to support the welfare of these children.
“And because their father is still in detention, security agents brought them to Enugu to stay with their grandmother who resides in the state.
“And the governor has told us to give two million naira to the grandmother to support the family. And we are handing over this money to their grand mother who had been taking care of them,” the Gender Commissioner stated.
In an acceptance speech, the mother of late Osinachi and grand mother of the children, Mrs. Caroline Madu, with a broken heart, thanked the state government for the financial support.
Also, the twin sister of Osinachi, Mrs. Amarachi Eze, who was full of tears and emotions thanked God for the cash gift and promised that the family would utilize the money judiciously.
“We are happy, we are happy, I just want to say thank you, God bless you all,” she said.
Similarly, her elder sister, Miss Chinekwu Madu expressed happiness but lamented the vacuum that the demise of their sister had created in their hearts.
The alleged circumstances that surrounded the death of the gospel artiste attracted philanthropic gestures, hence the donation of the cash amount for the welfare of the four children namely Ebube, Ekene, Chinedu and Deborah Nwachukwu.
In an interview, the first son of Osinachi, Master Ebube Nwachukwu, thanked Governor Ugwuanyi for the wonderful gesture
Also, the only girl, Miss Debora Nwachukwu, promised to reciprocate the gesture by being diligent and assiduous in their studies
“Thank you sir, thank you ma, for helping in our education. May God bless you for everything you have done. I will study hard to be a pilot in future,” she said.
It could be recalled that the popular albums of Osinachi Nwachukwu with the tittles “Ekwueme” and that of ” Oke Mmuo” caused a sensation among lovers of gospel music to the extent that it is now a regular feature in many church gatherings.
According to her family members, the remains of Osinachi Nwachukwu would be laid to rest on the June 25, 2022 in her father’s compound in Umuaku Isuochi, Umunochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
