OBIANO’S GOVT BIDS FAREWELL TO POLITICAL APPOINTEES

Political appointees in Anambra State have been relieved of their jobs, ahead of the March 17, 2022 handover of power in the state.

This is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu.

The statement by Professor Chukwulobelu also directed political appointees to handover all government’s property in their possession to the most senior civil servant in their offices.

The statement further explained that appointees whose appointments are tenured including Managing Directors, CEOs, Executive Secretaries and Provosts are not affected by the circular, explaining that the incoming Governor would issue further directive on their appointments.

The statement expressed appreciation to the affected officers for serving the state diligently and wished them well in their future endeavours.
