ENUGU LG POLL: PDP SWEEPS CHAIRMANSHIP & COUNCILORSHIP POSITIONS

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDD) has won all the Chairmanship seats in the February 23, 2022 Local Government election conducted in Enugu State.

The party also won the councillorship positions in the 260 wards in the state.

Declaring the result, the Chairman, Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) Dr. Mike Ajogwu, who handed the victorious Chairmen their Certificates of Return, explained that the 260 councellors would be handed over their certificates by the Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Chukwudi Amah.

Dr. Ajogwu congratulated all the actors in the exercise.

Reacting to their victory, the Chairman- Elect, Enugu East Local Government Area, Mr. livinus Nze Anike, and his Udi Local Government counterpart, Mr. Philip Okoh, promised to pursue developmental projects for the people.

The ENSIEC headquarters was filled with friends of the winners, PDP members, journalists and security agents, who came to witness the event.
