EBONYI SUSPENDS SEMA BOSS

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has suspended the Executive Secretary, Ebonyi State Emergency Management Agency, Pastor Ken Ozioma Eze, indefinitely.

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala, explained that his suspension was as a result of negligence of duty, which led to the expiration of stored relief items meant for distribution to members of the public.

The statement directed Pastor Ozioma Eze to handover all government property in his possession to the Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring.

Radio Nigeria gathered that this was not the first time the state was recording expiration of relief materials donated by the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) as it also occured in 2016.
