OKPOKODUM FOUNDATION COMMENDS ENUGU GOV, FEEDS OVER 400 WIDOWS, OTHERS

A philanthropist and Founder, Okpokodum Foundation, Chief Kevin Ayogu, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his accomplishments in the state in the last six years of his administration.

Chief Ayogu made the commendation in his country house Umuopu, Enugu-Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State when he distributed food items to over 400 widows in the area as part of the New Year celebration.

He said the all-inclusive development approach of Governor Ugwuanyi had engendered peace, unity and prosperity for the people of the state.

The Chief Executive Officer, Okpokodum, Foundation, Chief Ayogu, described the Governor as a listening leader whose administration had ensured security of lives and property in the state, which enabled Enugu citizens residing outside the state come home and enjoy the Yuletide without fear.

Chief Ayogu said hosting the widows was in fulfillment of an earlier promise made by the Okpokodum Foundation to continue to impact their lives and the less privileged in Enugu-Ezike community

Chief Ayogu, announced a scholarship award from secondary school to university level for six children from the widows and handed over the selection process to the Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ugwueze-Umuopu community, Rev. Fr. Malachy Eze.

His elder brother and traditional ruler of Umuopu Community, Igwe Cyril Ayogu, and a member of the Board of Trustee, Okpokodum Foundation, Great Ayogu, pledged that Okpoko family would continue to support initiative that would lift people out of poverty.

Apart from the food items, the widows smiled home with clothing materials and undisclosed cash gift.

Two of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Omeh Lovina, and Christiana Olijo expressed their gratitude to Chief Kevin Ayogu for catering for their welfare .
