AFTER 8 MONTHS GOV. UZODIMMA FINALLY SWEARS IN 18 COMMISSIONERS
REPORTER: CHINAZO ILECHUKWU
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State says his administration has zero tolerance to corruption, nepotism and in-fighting among government appointees.
He stated this in Owerri during the inauguration of eighteen new commissioners recently screened and cleared by the state house of assembly.
Chief Uzodimma charged the new commissioners to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of duties to accelerate development in the state.
One of the Commissioners, Mrs. Ann Dozie, who spoke on behalf of her colleagues, promised to discharge their duties with diligence to ensure the realization of the policy thrust of the government.
Governor Hope Uzodimma had in May 2021 dissolved the State Executive Council though eight commissioners were asked to remain in their offices.
