2 TO REPEAT SERVICE YEAR AS 168 BATCH B STREAM 2 YOUTH CORPS MEMBERS PASS OUT IN EBONYI

REPORTER: AMECHI ODO

One hundred and sixty-eight 2020 Batch B Stream 2 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members have passed out after their one year mandatory service in Ebonyi State.

Handing over their Discharge Certificates in a low key event that took place in Abakaliki, the State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Mercy Bamai, advised the former corps members not to wait for white collar job but to deploy the skills acquired through SAED programme to be self reliant.

She urged them to uphold the objectives of the Scheme as its Ambassadors, insisting that NYSC remained the best programme for national integration.

Mrs. Bamai said two Corps members were to repeat their service year as a result of abscondment while another corps member had his service year extended for truancy.

Some of the former corps members, including Mr. Offiong Sulaiman from Cross River State and Miss Joel Mayuwa from Kogi State, expressed appreciations to the NYSC and the Federal government for sustaining the programme.
