ANAMBRA GUBER: INEC COLLATES 11 LGA RESULTS

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the collation of results in the 2021 Anambra State Gubernatorial election, which held on Saturday.

The Collation is taking place in the INEC Collation Hall at its Anambra State Headquarters, Awka.

The programme is being supervised by the Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi.

The results were being announced as collated by the Local Government Areas Collation Officers for the election.

As at the time of filing this report, the results of 11 Local Government Areas had been collated.

They include Dunukofia, Awka South, Oyi, Ayamelum, Anaocha and Anambra East Local Government Areas.

Others are Idemili South, Onitsha South, Njikoka, Nnewi North and Orumba South Local Government Areas.

The Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, INEC, Mr Festus Okoye had earlier announced that the results of 19 out of the 21 Local Government Areas were ready to be collated.
