GOV. UMAHI MAKES A U-TURN, RE-ORDERS BAN ON SUNDAY WORSHIP
Ebonyi State Government has made a volte-farce (u turn) in the lifting of ban on Sunday Church Service.
Governor David Umahi in a live broadcast said he revoked the lifting order following pressure from the Federal Government that the state government should keep to social restriction protocol of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
He said except Easter Sunday service, which must close by noon, the ban on religious gathering should remain enforce.
Governor Umahi extended the stay at home order for workers from grade level one to twelve and threatened to shut down all markets in the state if traders failed to observe social distancing order and other preventive measures.
