BREAKING: IMO SPEAKER AND SEVEN OTHER LAWMAKERS DUMP PDP FOR APC
The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Dr. Collins Chiji, and seven other lawmakers have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The Speaker announced this at a resumed plenary at the chambers.
The defected lawmakers include Chief Eddy Obinna of Aboh Mbaise Constituency; Uche Ogbuagu of Ikeduru and Kennedy Ibeh of Obowo state constituency.
With the latest defection, APC now controls majority seats in the house with 18 lawmakers while PDP has 8 lawmakers.
Our Correspondent reports that the house adjourned plenary to Thursday this week.
