EASTER SERMON: BISHOP IBEZIM CALLS FOR FAITHFULNESS IN CHRIST AND GOOD DEEDS AMONG CHRISTIANS

Christians have been challenged to utilize the resurrection power of Jesus Christ to embark on actions that are pleasing to God.

The Bishop of Awka Diocese, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, the Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim, gave the charge in a sermon during a Eucharistic Service to celebrate the Easter Sunday at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka.

The Right Reverend Ibezim emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus offered hope to humanity as it brought salvation, which took away their burdens.

The Bishop urged christians to endeavour to experience the beauty of the victory of Jesus over death through faithfulness and good deeds.

The Right Reverend Ibezim advised the faithful to make amends with God at this period by demonstrating the love of Christ in their endeavours.

Two worshippers, Chief Richard Okoye and Professor Clifford Nwanna, described Easter as a remarkable event, which called for godly living and reflection on what Jesus endured to bring hope to humanity.
