NO CASE OF MONKEY POX IN ENUGU STATE…HEALTH COMMISSIONER
The Enugu state Government says there is no case of Monkey Pox in the state.
The Commissioner Enugu, Dr. Fintan Ekochin who stated this while addressing news men in Enugu maintained that there was no cause for alarm as the ministry was monitoring the situation.
Dr Ekochin explained that monkey Pox was a viral disease similar to chicken pox.
He stated that there was only one confirmed case of monkey pox in the country which was in Bayelsa State.
He advised people to maintain personal hygiene at all times for a healthy living.
The Commissioner pointed out that the ministry’s surveillance team was on ground to handle any eventuality.
