IMO GOVT CAUTIONS MONARCHS AGAINST MEDIA WAR
Imo State governm
ent has read the riot act to traditional rulers in the state against inciting media publications, following the expected election into the state council of traditional rulers in five months time. The Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, who stood in for Governor Rochas Okorocha, told the traditional rulers at a meeting yesterday, that government would no longer tolerate a situation whereby the traditional rulers would throw caution to the wind by engaging in media war against themselves because of election into the Ezes’ Council. According to the Deputy-Governor, the traditional rulers should show good example by avoiding actions that would create wrong impressions about them and the ezeship stool in the state because of election.
