ANOTHER FATAL ACCIDENT IN EDO STATE ROAD YESTERDAY
Yesterday 12 persons were killed in a road crash that occurred along the Agbor-Sapele Road bye-pass in Edo State.
Eye witnesses said a trailer rammed into a bus and car after an apparent brake failure. Dead bodies littered the road as motorists and sympathizers made effort to rescue trapped victims.
The accident involved a trailer, a car and a 14 seater Toyota Hiace bus marked BEN 621 YY traveling from Delta State.
Majority of the victims died few minutes after they were brought out of the bus.
The survivors were rushed to the Benin Central Hospital.
Confirming the incident, Edo Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Oluwasusi Familoni, said his men were still at the accident scene when the press arrived.
