TRICYCLE OPERATORS TOLD TO BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS

The  Enugu State Police Command  has stressed the need for Tricycle Operators to be law abiding and security conscious. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. EbereAmarizu made this known  during  a security sensitization  organized  for tricycle riders in   Enugu. He advised them to partner the Police and other Security Agencies  by reporting any threat to security  in  their environment.

Mr. Amarizu announced that the Command had mobilized   its X-Squad and Monitoring Unit to check extortion of tricycle operators by some policemen. The Police spokesman advised the tricycle riders to report any erring personnel for disciplinary action.

Earlier, the Enugu State Chairman of Tricycle Operators,  Comrade Benjamin Ikah commended Governor IfeanyiUgwuanyi for his support for the Association and advised the members not to engage in criminal activities.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Enugu State Command used the occasion to educate the tricycle operators on traffic rules and signs.
