SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTER ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATING GOV. OBIANO

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested one John Okwudili from Delta State for impersonating the Governor of the State,Chief Willie Obiano. The Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr.  Garba  Umar made this known while parading the suspect along with other suspected armed robbers at the Police headquarters, Amawbia.

Mr Umar explained that the suspect aged thirty, belonged to internet fraudsters popularly known as “Yahoo Boys” who fraudulently obtained money under false pretense from innocent victims.
The CP also said he was involved in using fake face book account and impersonating prominent persons in the State . The suspect was arrested by the police operatives attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad on the ninth of this month in the State.

Other armed robbery and  cult suspects paraded during the event included one a notorious cultist and a robbery gang member from Umuezeawara in Ihiala Local Government Area of the State,  who operated along Uli/Ihiala axis of the State. Other accomplices were members of Aiye and Vikings Confraternity.

Mr Umar assured members of the public that all the suspects would be arraigned in court at the end of investigations.
