SCAVENGERS WARNED AGAINST ASSESSING WASTE MATERIALS FROM ESWAMA DUMPSTERS

Enugu mapThe Enugu State Waste Management Authority, ESWAMA, has again reminded members of the public of the need to bag their refuse before disposal. A statement by the Managing Director of the Agency, Chief Amaka Anajemba advises those persons including wheel barrow pushers who usually drop their refuse at the roadside to desist from such act as ESWAMA dumpsters are within every nook and cranny of the State.

The statement also warns all scavengers to henceforth desist from assessing  waste materials  from the dumpsters noting that they are only permitted to do such at the ESWAMA landfile site. Also, all those roasting and selling corn at the roadsides in the state are directed to purchase  waste bags at the ESWAMA office for proper bagging of their refuse. It therefore states that non-compliance to these directives shall attract a fine of five thousand naira or prosecution.
