POLICE ARREST 2 KIDNAP SUSPECTS IN ENUGU

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested two alleged notorious kidnap suspects identified as Musa Mohammed from Kaduna State and UsmanHaruna from Bauchi State. A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. EbereAmarizu said the suspects were arrested after a gun battle with the Police in a bush in Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The Suspects who claimed to be rearing cattle for their Masters had allegedly abducted one AmobiChibuoke and JohnsonAgahon the eighteenth of last month and took them to a hideout in Ugbawka bush in Nkanu East Local Government. According to the statement, the two suspected hoodlums demanded for ten million naira ransom but later reduced it to four hundred thousand naira.

It was gathered that both Amobi and Johnson were in a Sienna bus returning from a traditional wedding in EzzaAguEbonyi State before they were abducted at a gun point. The victims who said they were in the bush for four days expressed gratitude to Enugu State Police Command for rescuing them.
