OhanezeNdigbo calls for inquiry into alleged recent killing of some members of IPOB.

ohanezeThe apex Igbo Socio-cultural Organization, OhanezeNdigbo has appealed to the Federal Government to set up an independent judicial  inquiry into the alleged recent killing of some members of the Indigenous People  of Biafra, IPOB.

Indigenous People of Biafra alleged that security agents killed eleven of its members, injured twenty-seven and arrested fifty-seven others in Port Harcourt, Rivers State while  they were demonstrating in support of President Donald Trump of the United States of America.

In a statement  in Enugu, the President-General of OhanezeNdigbo, Chief John NniaNwodo said the inquiry was necessary to ascertain the true position and the circumstances surrounding the matter with a view to resolving it peacefully.

Chief Nwodo stated that issues, threats by members of the IPOB and the army as well as indiscriminate arrests and prosecution by the police might not lead to a permanent solution.
