The Enugu State Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has solicited assistance from German Government in the development of some key areas of the state’s economy.
GovernorUgwuanyi made the appeal, when the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Doctor Bernard Schlagheck paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Enugu.
The Governor listededucation, healthcare, agriculture and securityasthe sectors the state would want the German Government to help it develop.
Earlier, the German Ambassador, Dr. Schlagheck commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his laudable achievements in settling national standards in the disbursement of the Paris Club refunds to the state.
Dr.Schlagheck who commented on the present agitation for restructuring the nation, indicated that he was optimistic that representatives in the parliament would take appropriate steps to ensure the success of the process.
He said that his country was in support of a united and prosperous Nigeria devoid of squabbles.
