FRCN NEWS STAFF CHARGED TO DWELL MORE ON INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING

 There is the saying that when you praise someone for work well done he will do even better next time. It is in line with this that the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Enugu National Station has given kudos to one of its own, Mr. Ndubisi Ozoilo for his ingenuity in investigative reporting.

Mr. Ozoilo did a special report which resulted in the settlement of over four hundred thousand naira hospital bill of a woman whose  premature and dying baby was resuscitated at Ntasi Obi Ndi no Na Afufu Hospital, Enugu. The Zonal Director FRCN Enugu, Mr. Ike Okere,

who commended Mr. Ozoilo for the report, laid emphasis on greater commitment to human angle stories.

‘’You must have at least one major story per week. I am very happy to officially commend Ndubuisi Ozoilo for breaking the news. I am so glad that through our intervention we were able to provide help and succor  to someone that needed it’’

Also, the Deputy Director News, Mr. Stone Echereobia-Agomuo expressed happiness that the News Sub-Directorate was upholding the mandate of the Corporation to humanity.

‘’Everybody is being encouraged to also emulate this zealous feat. He has commended Ozoilo, it means commending the department and the new rebranding that is going on.’’

 Responding, Mr. Ozoilo thanked the FRCN management for the recognition.

‘’I am gladdened by this commendation, it will further motivate me into putting my best in the discharge of my duty.’’

The News Sub-Directorate was encouraged to go into more investigative journalism in order to remain relevant in the broadcasting industry.
