ENUGU SPEAKER CALL FOR FAIRNESS AS NIGERIA MARKED 18TH DEMOCRACY DAY

Enugu mapSpeaker Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Edward Ubosi has urged the people of the State to put aside socio-political differences and join hands in building a prosperous State. Chief Ubosi made this known in a statement tagged “Legacy of Honour” while congratulating the Federal and the State Government to mark Democracy Day in the country.

The statement commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on the giant strides he had recorded in different areas especially rural infrastructure and payment of staff salary which has placed the State in the comity of giants in the country. The statement maintained that the relationship between the legislative and executive arms in the State was cordial, noting that the lawmakers were committed to legislation that would improve the welfare of the people. It commended members of the State Assembly for their cooperation which, Chief Ubosi said, had propelled positive legislative revolution.

The Statement urged the Federal Government to seek and sustain peace in all parts of the country through equity, justice and fairness.
