ABIA STATE REITERATES ITS RESOLVE TO SUSTAIN PROMOTION OF MADE IN NIGERIA PRODUCTS

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State says the administration will collaborate with key foreign investors to sustain the promotion of made in Nigeria products to place them on the world map.Governor Ikpeazu announced this at the unveiling of the official logo for made in Aba products in partnership with a foreign based foundation in Aba.

He said the time had come for the international community to focus attention on Nigeria products, especially those manufactured in Aba and charged entrepreneurs in the commercial city to remain focused in their drive to produce goods that were of high quality. The governor reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to reconstruct roads that would enhance the productivity of Aba people and announced that work would soon commence on Omuma and Osusu roads.

The Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Chikwendu Kanu commended the efforts of the State government to stimulate the growth of made in Aba goods, noting that the House would give the needed legislative backing to entrepreneurial development. In a remark, the Chairman, Leather products Manufacturers of Abia State, Mr. Okey Williams observed that the vision of the State Government to promote made in Nigerian products was unique, noting that it would quicken the recovery of the nation’s economy. Highpoint of the event was the unveiling of made in Aba logo, with an Elephant as key feature and an inscription, “Proudly Made in Aba”.
