The Home-Based Eagles To Arrive Nigeria Thursday
The home-based Eagles are expected to arrive in Nigeria on Thursday, the team needed a draw on Tuesday to advance to the next round of the African Nations Championship but lost 1-0 to Guinea who qualified from Group C alongside leaders Tunisia who walloped Niger 5-1 in the other fixture.
“We should be back home by Thursday according to the arrangements they are making, ” one of the players told before complaining bitterly about their camp situation in Rwanda.
“Nobody plays for Nigeria just because of money but there were lots of unfulfilled promises to us.“we had to ‘manage’ with the $200 the League Management Company Chairman gave us after our win against Niger.”
The players are still being owed their camp allowances from December 14.
