The Super Eagles’ doctor, Ibrahim Gyaran, has expressed gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for facilitating his attending the FIFA/Isokinetic conference in London.
Gyaran’s appreciation is contained in a communiqué by the NFF’s spokesperson, Ademola Olajire, on Friday in Lagos. The statement said the conference would hold between April 9 and April 11 with the theme “Return to Play in Footballers’’. The conference, it added, would emphasis the complete recovery and return to full match fitness of injured players.
The statement quoted Gyaran as saying that conference would enable him to keep abreast with new findings and methods in medicine that would make him more effective on his job. “The field of medicine is constantly evolving, there are new findings and more modern methods of work discovered every time, so, we have to be abreast of all these things on a regular basis. “This also explains why I want to always appreciate the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports and the NFF for facilitating my attending such conferences. “It goes a long way in helping me become more knowledgeable and effective in the discharge of my responsibilities as the Super Eagles doctor,’’ the statement quoted him as saying.
