NFF INAUGURATES CARETAKER COMMITTEE FOR ANAMBRA FA

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has inaugurated a Caretaker Committee to pilot football administration in Anambra State.

Inaugurating the seven member Committee, the NFF President, Mr. Amaju Pinnick, charged them to ensure that an elected executive would be in place in the state within three months.

The NFF President, who was represented by the Chairman of Chairmen and member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Ibrahim Gusua, said the committee had the template of working with the existing Election Committee in the state to ensure that a new football executive was in place.

He said there was no dual leadership in Anambra State FA as the federation was duly communicated on August 3, 2020 by the Secretary of the federation.

The NFF boss gave an assurance that the federation would give the new caretaker committee all the necessary support that would enable them succeed in the task ahead.

The Chairman of the  Caretaker Committee, Dr. Emeka Okeke, promised that the committee would  work harmoniously with the electoral committee to give football activities  and leadership in the  state a boost.

The Committee has a veteran administrator,  Victor Nwangwu as Vice Chairman;  Chijioke Onyedika, Secretary;   Philip Udala, while Charity Okonkwor and Success Onyeabo are members .

  Meanwhile, the committee is headed by Dr. Emeka Okeke, who is the founder of Aspire Football Club Adaziani in Anaocha Local government area of the state.
