FC Ifeanyi Ubah Wins Rangers 2 – 0
FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeated league table toppers, Rangers International of Enugu 2-0 in the NPFL Week 31 fixture in Nnewi.
Alberico Da Silva opened scores for the Anambra Warriors in the 4th minute of the game played at the Ifeanyi Ubah stadium, Nnewi.
All attempts by the Anambra Warriors to score more goals in the first half were rebuffed by the visitors’ defence.
On resumption of second half, Chijokwe Alakwe who was brought in for Gata Ismaila needed only two minutes to register the second goal for the Anambra Warriors.
Super Eagles Bright Onyedikachi substituted Da Silva in the 72nd minute, and his beautiful attempt at goal at the closing minutes of the game was parried by Rangers’ goalkeeper for a corner kick.
