In response to the rising spate of agitations in the nation, the APC 10-Man Committee on True Federation recently recommended the restructuring of the country in its report, one of which is the creation of state police.
In line with this, a former Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo has joined other Nigerians in throwing their weight behind the call for the establishment of state police.
According to Professor Nebo, the increasing rate of crime and clashes across the country have necessitated the creation of the security apparatus
Also, the Trade Union Congress Boss in Enugu State, Comrade Chukwuma Igbokwe noted that the Nation’s Police were glossily inadequate to provide the necessary security of lives and property.

Similarly, the Committee among other items made strong recommendation in favour of resource control.
Commenting on the development, a legal practitioner, Mr. Basil Obijuru gave APC a pat on the back for its efforts to address what many perceived as structural imbalance in the country.
The Leader Enugu State House of Assembly, Mr. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu who described the devotion of more powers to states as a welcome development, noted that restructuring should begin with change of attitude to life among the people.
